What's something that every kitchen in a shared/communal space should have besides the obvious stuff like cups, plates, bowls, and silverware?

@alexhillman Filtered water, either a permanent tap (under sink?) or a Brita-style jug (in the fridge for cold water?). A way to heat filtered water, ideally an electric kettle with temperature settings for different kinds of teas.

I also think every kitchen should have an induction cooktop at this point. If there is no permanent stovetop, a portable induction cooktop is great. nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews Easy to clean, safe to touch shortly after using, less fumes.

@alexhillman
a dishwasher, if at all possible
masking tape and sharpies for labelling leftover containers with contents **and date**
