@zorn I’ll be honest, I had to look up the specifics, though I did vaguely remember the novel (Fellowship) mentioning something about elves being involved.
@zorn well, the entity is a different color than the attribute. I’m inclined to call it green, but I have some red-green color blindness, so that might be way off.
@skyfaller Oh yeah, totally understandable. While there was a brief flurry of Twitter folks starting Masto accounts, almost none of those I followed stuck it out.
I eventually semi-caved and started an Instagram account to have some access to those kinds of things. Insta sucks in a lot of ways, but the emphasis on photos makes my feed more bearable.
@skyfaller personally, I stopped using Twitter entirely. Even people I like were becoming toxic from hate-posting their daily outrages.
Seems irrelevant given the current fascist coup, but was still amazed to learn today that there’s a Vampire & Paranormal Activity Museum in Lambertville: https://www.vampamuseum.com
For your holiday feasting needs, I present Victuals, a delicious and nutritious musical mix:
@joshuaferris I’ve resisted all the music streamers thus far because I’m an old stick-in-the-mud who likes “owning” the stuff I listen to (although I largely stopped buying physical albums a while ago). I do like 8tracks.com for creating & sharing streamable playlists. It has an iOS app, but I don’t know about watch compatibility.
Re-tooting my 2018 Halloween playlist, 8+ hours of eclectic, more or less seasonally appropriate music:
@gamehawk Yeah, I really only picked this Rite-Aid because it's within easy walking distance. Guess I got lucky.
@gamehawk I’ve been using my local Rite-Aid for about 10 years and have a refreshing lack of that kind of BS. I also did a walk-in flu shot there and was in and out in 5 minutes.
Honorary lady rhetorician.
